Painting Silhouettes
I followed my first art class when I was nine years old. I had proudly taken some drawings to the master of the art -his name was Pascal too- to share my passion and the little talent I could show. I continued going to his workshop for the next 9 years. I learned how to draw and paint in different style and with different mediums: pencils, charcoals and oil. I started painting silhouettes when I lived in the US in 1988 when I discovered acrylics. I wanted viewers to imaging the persona in their surroundings. It is giving a bit of mystery to the paintings while adding more depth and a more contemporary touch. Now, most of my production is acrylics with an occasional oil painting and drawings.
A lot of the art on this site has already found a new home somewhere in the world. I believe that the best thing that can happen to an artist is to see their work exhibited where people will enjoy it.
You will find sections than group the art in periods and events such as the Sage Foundation work. Charity donations have helped children, planted trees and raised funds for cancer research and relaunch my artistic drive.
I hope you enjoy the art as much as I enjoyed bringing it to life.
